A Story of Success

‘Marion came into our business primarily to advise us on Ethical policies and documentation. She left five months later having completely transformed the company’s approach to Ethical matters, both internally and through our Supply Chain. She worked seamlessly integrating with our wider Technical, Commercial & HR team to facilitate meetings, updating our policies and procedures. We were more than comfortable to have Marion represent the Company at Retailer meetings and she helped the team make significant progress towards our M&S Plan A and Sainsbury’s Ethical goals. Additionally, she has raised the importance of Modern Slavery within the business, running a number of training sessions through all levels of the Company, from the Shop Floor & Agency Operatives up to the MD, and embedding awareness of the issues throughout the organisation. I cannot recommend Marion highly enough. She combines a highly competent, results-oriented background with a practical down to earth manner that garners buy-in from everyone that she works with, that has delivered outstanding results for our organisation.’

Helping Your Business to Meet the Requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015

Marion Durose of Safe Space Collaboration LLP was engaged by Baxters Food Group to transform our Ethical Agenda. This was driven by an immediate need to meet key customer requirements and to establish a robust ethical framework that would support our people and compliance strategy.

Marion executed this critical objective successfully with the highest levels of professionalism and supported by her strong project management expertise and well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills.

Marion had some noteworthy achievements in her time with us. These included driving ethical supplier management processes specifically with our gherkin supplier, which included 450 growers in India and onion suppliers in the Ukraine and Poland.

Marion also lead the introduction, development, implementation and training of our Ethical Trade and Modern Slavery policy and procedure across the European division.

Marion has not only made a significant impact in our business but also developed strong relationships with the leadership teams and employees. I would have no hesitation in recommending Marion to other prospective businesses.

Working with business to manage and overcome non-conformances.

Marion Durose, Safe Space Collaboration LLP, helped Good Greens India implement the Ethical Trade Initiative Base Code for Sedex (SMETA Audit). Implementing the ETI base code in an Indian Agronomy Supply Chain is really a mammoth task as it was not tried before and we were initially reluctant to go ahead with this exercise.

However things changed quickly when Marion stepped into the implementation. She has a very good understanding of Operations & Agriculture which was really the key to this implementation. Clarity in thought, honest approach to practical problems and transparency are her strong points. We look forward to associate with her for more such projects in future.
